[ We Can ]

Congratulations Taine Williams

Congratulations Taine Williams

Huge congratualtions to our newest apprentice graduate, Taine Williams.

Taine came to We Can via a role as a Trade Assistant in January 2016, working on the floor doing a bit of everything. With several apprentices already training at the time, it took us a while to realise how indispensable he had become, while he had been quietly building up a breadth of knowledge of all parts of the business as he just got on with the job.

His perseverance paid off and his apprenticeship started in 2019. In his entire time at We Can, Taine has turned up to work with a smile on his face. The team has always enjoyed teaching him and Taine’s enthusiasm has never wavered. He is always prepared to listen and learn, making him a pleasure to train. These are exactly the traits we are after when we are looking for new apprentices.

We Can are also proud of the work he does outside of We Can as a Lifeguard and admire the very tough job he and his fellow volunteers at SAR had in the weeks after the Cyclone that hit us so hard here in Hawke’s Bay.

When one of your managers states in front of all the staff that he’d be proud to have you as their son, you know that Taine’s character and integrity shines through in everything he does, including at work.

Taine is now a very valued member of our team, running a number of machines for us, including some of our most complex Multus machines. All the potential he showed has now been realised and we are very proud of the tradesman Taine has become.

As Taine graduates, we look forward to seeing our newest Apprentice, Josiah Barlow, take up the challenge and join our four other apprentices at We Can as we continue to invest in training the future mechanical engineers of New Zealand.
