01 Dec Keith Mclean’s Well-Earned Retirement Announcement
To many of you, Keith Mclean is the face that greats you at the entry to We Can as you drop or pick up parts, and for others he is the first point of contact for customers and suppliers alike.
At the end of this year, our Factory Manager Keith will be retiring from We Can after 47 years with us!
Keith completed his apprenticeship at We Can and has had a long and fulfilling career, seeing us through growth and ownership change, a financial crisis or two, a pandemic, a devastating cyclone, and all while training over 27 apprentices in just the last 20 years alone.
We give our heartfelt thanks to Keith for his incredible knowledge, passion and proactive role in driving the “We Can” values and ethos of ‘Precision Made Easy’, while always maintaining his personal commitment and total focus on our customers. We wish Keith and his wife Sandra a long, healthy and fun-filled retirement.
We have been planning for this transition for a while so we are also proud to announce Shae Clarke will assume the role of Job Shop-Team Captain, working with Keith to facilitate the transfer of his extensive knowledge. Shae has a strong machining background, having completed his apprenticeship at We Can under Keith’s tutelage being highly skilled in our job shop machining, right through to our most complex CNC Multus operation.
Shae has been actively introduced to our customers and suppliers while working alongside Keith over the last five months. Our strong internal systems, processes and documentation, supports a seamless transfer of information for all our customers and we are lucky to have Shae filling such large boots on the floor.
Both Keith and Shae are looking forward to their new futures, and a continuation of We Can providing you with exceptional products and solutions.
We wish them both the best for their futures as Keith hands over the mantle to Shae in December.
